The youngest of four children, I’ve lived all my life (except for nine+ months in Spain) in Southeastern Michigan. I’ve always said that I would retire away from Michigan, but I can’t help but be a Northern type of gal. I love the four seasons, and I can’t imagine not having a white Christmas or a patch-colored autumn.

I’m always saying that I didn’t have enough fun in college. The University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, is a wonderful place, but for someone like me (read Type A), I found myself spending more time studying than enjoying the days. If I could buy a time machine….

I spent way too many years slaving in the corporate mortgage industry before I realized that my love of writing instruments and stacks of paper meant that my real passion was writing. I love reading and listening to stories and telling my own. Those crazy characters need a place to go other than my head!

Besides writing, I’m an editor and project manager at Nelson Publishing & Marketing in Northville, Michigan. I truly enjoy helping other authors realize their dream as well as learn as much as I can about the business side of writing. I’ve worked on many wonderful projects and feel a sense of pride when the finished product arrives.

I’m a loyal hockey fan to all the teams my older son has played on (and continues to play on) as well as to the Detroit Red Wings. The younger one wants to be the next Michael Phelps, so I'll either be at the rink or at the pool! In the summer you’ll find me out amongst my gardens or reading a book on our back deck. Jack, our dog, knows me as his faithful walker as we do that most nights. Check out my blog for current happenings.
