• Dr. Ivan's Depression Central: Though ads are found throughout the site, this is a huge website filled with much medical info about different types of depression, causes, treatments, and more.
• National Foundation for Depressive Illness, Inc.: A foundation that works to educate the public about depressive illness, its consequences, and its treatability.
• Depression Alliance: The website for the leading UK charity for those affected by depression; provides info as well as services to the United Kingdom.
• NIMH - Depression: The National Institute of Mental Health's depression site, offering online pamphlets to browse, press releases and news stories, and services; info is also provided in Spanish.
• Depression.com: An excellent resource for depression information.

Self-Injury

• S.A.F.E. Alternatives: Information about self-injury as well as the official homepage of the U.S.'s leading self-injury treatment program. Make sure to visit this site if you're considering hospitalization as a means of treatment.

• American Foundation for Suicide Prevention: Lots of info about suicide and ways to prevent it.
• Yahoo! Health Encyclopedia - Suicidal Behavior: An entry covering suicidal behaviors and their treatment.
• National Strategy for Suicide Prevention: A huge site created by a number of mental health organizations aiming to increase public awareness of suicide.

Bipolar Disorder
