When The Cut Goes In Deep contains material that may shock and upset. You will peruse information concerning depression, self-injury, anxiety, and other difficult mental health topics from a first-person perspective. Please EXIT NOW if you are feeling vulnerable. I believe my site is helpful, but it, like everything, can be misused. Here are my official statements:

1. I am NOT a licensed or qualified mental health professional. I offer you what I've learned from my experiences, including psychology sessions, psychiatry sessions, school counseling, a partial hospitalization program, an inpatient hospitalization program, a visit to the ER, and certain medications. I try to make statements that I have found to be true from my personal knowledge.
2. This site is in no way a "cure" for mental illness. This site should serve as a guide; I want to point out warning signs and encourage people to contact health professionals. Visit my My Mission page for a detailed explanation as to why I created this site.

I know these warnings seem harsh, but they're necessary. After all, here in the United States, a woman sued McDonalds because her coffee was too hot. Sure, she spilled it on herself... While she was driving her car... But she won the lawsuit. I have not had any complaints or problems with my site since its creation in March of 2000, but I certainly do not want to start getting any now.
