The Santa Fe Trail

An Amateur Radio Club named for the historical trail originating in Westport, Missouri, which crossed the prairie, mountains, and desert to Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The Purpose and Goals

The  Santa  Fe  Trail  Chapter  was started 27 Feb, 1982 by a group of Amateur Radio Operators with the goals of helping to install an interest in Amateur Radio by   promoting   activity   upon   the  10   meter   band,   creating   national   and international  friendships, and a means of enjoying this hobby while doing so by offering a multilevel  awards program based upon contacts with other  Santa  Fe Trail  Chapter  members for those who wish to participate in friendly competition.

Please join us on the Santa Fe Trail Net every Monday at 2330 UTC on 28.380.

This  site  is  dedicated to the memory of Don Ruf  KB0ON, who    was  the  CH / CM  of  this  Santa  Fe  Trail  Chapter  of  10-10 International, until he became a silent key on December 8, 2005

Thanks  to  Georgia,  Don’s  wife  for  making the Santa Fe Trail Chapter  records  available  and  to  Bill Livingston KB9MJ, who spent the  time  necessary to retrieve them and forwarded them to Cliff Taylor K5FBS, the Chapter Manager. She also has given us  permission  to  use any or all of the original information from the Santa Fe Trail   web site to keep the Santa Fe Trail Chapter alive.   And  last  but  not  least  our  thanks  go  to  Larry Heller, KA9PCU,  our  new  Certificate  Manager  for  stepping  up  and volunteering to take over the Santa Fe Trail Chapter. WD0SFT is back on the air.
