We love checking out fall colors so Tammie’s parents thought it would be a swell idea for the four of us to vist the Adirondacks in northestern New York and do some hiking. (Tammie and her parents like to trick me into exercising whenever possible.) Mom and Dad got a new trailer this year and this was the first time Tammie and I got to stay in it. The Adirondacks are a beautiful, mountainous section in the eastern section of the state of New York. Since we only had a week to enjoy it, we stuck with a small section of the northestern part of it, camping at the KOA camp in Wilmington. From there, we could easily make day trips to the nearby cities of Keane, Lake Placid, Lake Saranac, and Ticonderoga. There were many trails for hiking with different ranges of difficulty. We found that even those marked relatively easy still gave a very good workout for us. Anyway, we took lots of photos. I posted some of them and added some comments to elaborate more on the trip.
