Pulte Homes Loses in Arbitration

An arbitrator has awarded $100,000 in damages to a Lee's Summit couple from the builder of their five-year-old home, citing numerous defects in construction. Sound familiar?

On this page you will find the actual documents showing the arbitrator's ruling

The story starts here

Update to this story is something else! Pulte Homes picked the arbitrator for this case. As of August 6, 2000, Pulte has yet to pay the family. Pulte now claims that the arbitrator is senile. Remember who picked the arbitrator? Pulte appealed the verdict by the arbitrator and lost that case as well. Here is that print story

Links to the actual stories as written in the Kansas City Star are provided on the pop-up screens.

This is a copy of the arbitrator's ruling and reward for the Groceman family of Lee's Summit

This is the only place that you will be able to see this information. Arbitration cases are not made public.

Pulte finally pays up!

Pulte Homes has finally paid the damages that were awarded to the Groceman family. At this time I do not have the exact date of the payment. In fairness to Pulte Homes, I will post the date and details when I have that information.
