B&W LCR600 S3
This is the larger of the two LCR (Left, Centre, Right) models in the range and its
greater volume and larger drivers make it more suitable to partner the larger models in the range – DM603 S3 and DM604 S3 – as a centre speaker.
Like the LCR60 S3, the ability to use the LCR600 S3 in either horizontal (more usual in the centre position) or vertical orientation, together with its magnetic shielding, makes it an extremely versatile speaker.
MSRP $599
- 2.5-way vented-box system with magnetic shielding.
- Freq. Response: 60Hz - 22kHz ± 3dB on reference axis.

B&W DM604 S3
The imposing DM604 S3 is the only full 3-way system in the range. The dedicated Kevlar® cone midrange driver
is housed in its own isolated chamber within the cabinet and delivers all the nuances of the detail in the recording without the encumbrance of having to produce any bass.
Twin 180mm (7-in) aluminium cone bass drivers combine with Flowport to deliver the deepest bass frequencies with ease. Like all the vented-box systems in the range,
foam plugs are supplied to block the ports should the acoustic of the listening room impose too much bass reinforcement.
Suited to larger rooms, the DM604 S3 is capable of reproducing everything from the delicate sounds of a solo performance to the complexities of a large ensemble.
In combination with the LCR600 S3 centre speaker it forms the basis of a truly impressive home theatre installation.

B&W DS6 B
The DS6 S3 is a versatile and compact on-wall surround speaker that is adaptable to a wide range of home theatre applications.
Surround speakers generally fall into two main types – those that one might describe as 'normal' speakers - so-called monopoles, where the sound comes from a set of drive units mounted on the front of the enclosure - and those that give a more diffuse sound field, such as dipoles. Each type has its advantages.
Most multi-channel music is recorded with home entertainment in mind and is generally monitored using two, three or four monopole surround speakers. This enables good location of side and rear images.
Conversely, most films are originally balanced for cinemas, where a large number of speakers spread around the auditorium are used to create the surround sound field. With more surround speakers than discrete channels of information, a less precise image is created that gives an all-enveloping effect. Dipoles, rather than monopoles are better at recreating this type of sound field in the home, while using fewer speakers to do it. Dipoles do not image as precisely as monopoles, but they can make it easier to balance the whole system for a larger listening area.
The DS6 S3 offers a choice of both monopole and dipole operation, so you may choose whichever type of operation best suits the conditions of the listening room, the size of audience and the type of programme being played. Indeed, you may use different modes for side and rear speakers, or change the characteristic for different types of programme.
MSRP $349 each
- 2-way closed-box selectable dipole/monopole surround system.
- Freq. Response: 85Hz – 22kHz ±3dB on reference axis (monopole mode), 85Hz – 10kHz ±3dB power averaged over front hemisphere (dipole mode).

- Sensitivity: 89dB spl (2.83V, 1m).

- Power Handling: 25W - 100W into 8 ohms on unclipped programme.

The DM600 S3 is a small speaker designed for mounting directly on-wall, but stand or shelf mounting is also possible.
Its primary use is as an unobtrusive surround speaker, but it may be used in other applications where small size is important.
The performance of the 120mm (5-in) Kevlar® cone bass / midrange driver and tube-loaded metal dome tweeter belie the speaker's diminutive size.

Velodyne CHT-12
Heart-pounding bass. Stunning, clear sound from all directions. These are the hallmarks of today's high-tech movie sound experience. But many who want that classic theater sound at home don't have the space - or the budget - for the huge and expensive subwoofer and speakers that can make it happen. At the same time, they've been disappointed by the weak bass and thin sound of smaller, more affordable systems they've heard.
The subwoofer is the soul of great home theater sound, and Velodyne is the acknowledged leader in high-performance subs. Each Velodyne CHT Series powered subwoofer honestly delivers the authentic deep bass and high output needed for exciting movie sound effects. But, the CHT Series subs also deliver other essential Velodyne qualities of sonic accuracy and fidelity that are at the heart of music, whether reproducing a slappin' bass guitar or a 6-foot drum.
Advanced Velodyne amplifier circuits prevent overdriving and damage so that you can really use a CHT Series sub, without abusing it. Plus, a full range of high-end features and controls means that a CHT Series subwoofer integrates seamlessly with your system electronics, no matter what name or combination of initials it has - Dolby Digital AC-3, DTS, THX or DSS. Bluejeans HDMI and Component Cables
HDMI is a digital signal format, developed primarily as a platform for the implementation of HDCP (High Definition Content Protection) to prevent consumers from having complete access to the contents of
high-definition digital recordings. As one might expect from a standard that was developed to serve the content provider industries, rather than the best interests of the consumer, HDMI is something of a mess. The signal is not robust over distance
because it was designed to run balanced when it should have been run unbalanced (SDI, the commercial digital video standard, can be run hundreds of feet over a single coax without any performance issues); the HDMI cable is an unnecessarily-complicated
rat's-nest arrangement involving nineteen conductors; switches, repeaters and distribution amplifiers, by virtue of this complicated scheme, are made unnecessarily expensive; and the HDMI plug is prone to falling out of the jack with little more than
a light tug. As more and more manufacturers move to implement HDMI on more home theater devices, however, it falls to the consumer to try to make the best of this dubious and poorly-thought-out standard.
Of the three popular video signal formats available on consumer electronics
gear--Component, S-Video and Composite--Component Video, which splits the video
signal up into three separate components (Y/Pb/Pr) for the highest resolution
and most realistic color rendition, is the best. These professional-grade
component video cable sets, built from the finest coaxial cable and connectors
available, make the most of the system's component video signals. Our "standard" component video cable configuration is
Belden 7710A coax (a three-conductor version of 1694A) with Canare RCA plugs,
but we also offer other coaxes, and BNC connectors. MSRP Varies per cable

Nintendo Wii
Nintendo's Wii video game system (pronounced "we") is designed to attract people, regardless of their age or video game experience,
to sit down and play together--whether they're in the same room or on different sides of the globe. The system's name reflects this simple idea. It's easily pronounced in a variety
of languages, and the distinctive spelling suggests two players side by side. The two Wii features Nintendo thinks will create new levels of gaming community are built-in Wi-Fi access,
supported by a new online gaming service, and Wii's intuitive, wireless, motion-sensitive game controller.
As with every new console release, much of the buzz surrounds the specs. The system boasts 512 MB of internal flash memory, two USB 2.0 ports, and a slot for SD memory expansion.
Wii's technological heart -- a processing chip developed with IBM and code-named "Broadway" and a graphics chipset from ATI code-named "Hollywood" -- are said to deliver stunning performance.
Instead of a tray, Wii uses a single, self-loading media bay that will play both 12-centimeter optical discs used for the new system, as well as Nintendo GameCube discs.
The real revolution in this system, though, is its controller, called the Wii Remote. Shaped like a TV remote, it's been designed to be easily used by beginners and pros alike. Sensors determine
the Wii Remote's position is in 3-D space, which means that racing-game steering and a tennis swing, for example, are done through movements of your hand rather than by just your thumbs.
What's more, a tiny speaker built into the Wii Remote promises some interactive surround sound experiences. The controller also has a force feedback "Rumble" feature and an expansion port for
use with accessories, such as the Nunchuck, which adds an analog thumbstick and trigger buttons. An adapter that fits over the Wii's wee remote will be available for those who prefer the feel of
a traditional controller. The Wii Remote communicates via the Bluetooth wireless standard. Up to four remotes can connect to Wii. MSRP $249
