Our cold processed vegetable base soap is made with oils, distilled water and sodium hydroxide.  These ingredients are hand stirred in small batches and then poured into molds.  After they have completed the saponification process (a chemical reaction between the oils, water and sodium hydroxide to produce an end product of soap), the soap is ready to cut and allowed to cure for nearly a month, providing you a nice hard bar of soap that cleans and provides a luxurious lather.  Many of our cold process soaps include butters such as unrefined Shea Butter, Mango Butter and Cocoa Butter.  We may also use herbs for added appeal, and skin safe colorants (natural or FDA approved) for visual appeal.  Essential oils and Fragrance oils are also used.  If your choice is a "fragrance free" product, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate your request.

Hand milled soap is a basic cold processed soap "super fatted" with one or more of these ingredients: cocoa butter, almond oil, olive oil, and shea or mango butter.  Hand milling requires grating and melting basic saponified cold process soap and using additional oils and butters (super fatting) to enhance them.  Herbs and essential and fragrance oils may also be used in this process. 

Glycerin bars are a moisturizing byproduct of the saponification process.  The process of glycerin extraction is done by the "big guys" and sold as a Melt and Pour glycerin. Glycerin bars may contain shea, coconut milk, coconut oil, cucumber, aloe and olive oil.  However, the addition of oils like grape seed, sunflower, safflower, sweet almond or olive may be added to make them more luxurious, especially for those that find glycerin drying to their skin.
