Why was the (DLF) formed?
In December 2003, Dave accidentally fell from a small step ladder while putting up Christmas lights in the front yard of his home, a tradition in which he took great pride. What appeared to be a typical household accident turned into a life altering journey, eventually leading to a diagnosis of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) in 2005. Since 2005, Dave has experienced a slow decline in his health and mobility. With the steadfast devotion of his wife Mary, and the support of his extended family, Dave has been able to enjoy life at home, but his health is failing and we are in pursuit of a cure.
