The Naperville Wrestling Club is comprised of two divisions. The Naperville Panthers for wrestlers 8th grade on down to 5 years of age. This is the "kids" division. The other division is the Naperville Phoenix, which is for wrestlers at the high school level. Practice is held in the auxiliary gym in Naperville Central High School. The Naperville Wrestling Club has evolved throughout the years in various forms. Before the IKWF rule change we were comprised of 6 teams. One team for every junior high. In 2006 we made the decision to start using a logo and chose the "Panther" keeping the name "in the OBrien family". In 2006 Dan OBrien took over as the Head Coach. Wrestlers at the high school level participate with the Naperville Phoenix. The Phoenix wrestle in the Disney AAU National Duals tournament as well as Freestyle and Greco tournaments. The Head Coach is Rob Porter.

Welcome Home. As everyone on the team is aware, we have dedicated the last two season's to a Marine family. Thank you for your service to our country. We would also like to thank those Marines and other military personnel that I know through rugby, wrestling and football that are currently deployed or are on their way. Remember this Ronald Reagan quote "Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a difference in the world, but the Marines don't have that problem" |
