Hello. My name is Marc Myers. AppleScriptsToGo is my one-man operation, the goal of which is to provide custom AppleScripting and scripting consultation. My aim is to afford these services to my clients quickly, simply, personally, and relatively inexpensively.

My background in computers began in 1967. I have worked professionally in the field since 1978. Most of that time was spent in the mainframe/corporate environment, where I served as a programmer, analyst, lead programmer/analyst, and project leader. My most recent job in that environment was leading a team that did the Y2K remediation on a library of 2200 programs for the manufacturing division of ICI Paints (formerly Glidden). I found 650 programs needing modification. These were changed and unit tested by me and my team. When the system testing was done by an independent group, only one error was encountered, and that was caused by a date parameter that was inserted into job control language after I had signed off on it. When January 2000 rolled around, the system performed like clockwork.

Impressed? I was! The point of all this is to tell you that I am good at what I do and almost painfully conscientious. Since completing that two-and-a-half year project I have set my sights on working at things on a smaller, more individual, and personal level. This was the genesis of AppleScriptsToGo.

I have worked with Macintosh computers since obtaining a Macintosh SE in 1987, and have been scripting since 1995.
