This whole project started with the plane - my version of an F-4U Corsair. I had the plane built around February of 2000 and just put off taking pictures because I wanted to make an airstrip as well. In a flight of fancy, (pun not intended....no..really.) I fooled around with the layout and came up with this in an hour or so. I never did update the field when I had it built - it has since been recycled to help build other projects I've recently added to the site. Rest assured, that it'll be rebuilt in the future, as much as I enjoy World War II history and aircraft. Next time I'll put more planning and thought into it to make it more accurate to airstrips of the era.
