Words simply cannot express what I feel. They probably never will.

One of my Heroes died today - Sunday, February 18th, 2001.
Heroes aren't supposed to die. They're supposed to ride off into the sunset, like John Wayne at the end of every movie, and live out the rest of their lives on their own terms.
Then again, maybe these would have been the terms he'd have picked - to die doing something he loved to do.
I would think he'd have picked later than so soon, however...
He was the reason that I began following NASCAR full time 6 years ago.
He did what he loved and he did it with all his heart. He ran hard. He won races. He made a lot of people very happy and just as many angry. He was the Intimidator - the Man in Black. Other pages can tell you more about him than I have come to know.
I can promise you, though, Dale Earnhardt will never be forgotten.
Every fan of Dale will be forever grateful to his wife, Teresa, and his family for sharing him with us all these years.
This is my attempt to pay tribute to the memory of a man that I will always respect.
