Why we love Standard Schnauzers

When we asked our members "Why do you have a standard?" they said:

"Well,I wanted a German Shepherd but Bill was not comfortable with that breed....we both liked the looks of a Mini Schnauzer that friends owned, but I wanted a bigger dog.  Bill was traveling a lot and I wanted something that would be companion and protector if needed. ...Took a while to find a breeder with puppies.... Told her we only wanted a pet - would not show. ... And then as soon as Kinder was 6 mos old I had him in the ring at the local show.  Fortunately (or unfortunately) we won - and as they say, the rest is history. " - Penny D.
