Looking for a place to go
for a long weekend or pehaps the family vacation? Look no further! Here are
some reviews of different parks around the U.S. and Canada that the club members
have submitted. Enjoy!
Petoskey RV & Cabin
Resort - Petoskey, Michigan (click on name to

submitted by Doug & Jen Nelson
The Petoskey RV & Cabin Resort is the nicest KOA campground that we have
ever stayed at. The park is emaculate and the sevice is excellent. The sites
are nice with paved areas to park your camper. Full hook-up sites are also available
for those who like this option. The park has regularly scheduled activities
for all ages. It also has a very clean pool that is open daily. The park is
conviently located just outside of downtown Petoskey and you can easily commute
to anywhere you would like in the area without a long drive. The prices are
higher than most but on par for a nice KOA. We love this park and would recommend
it to anyone.
Algonac
State Park - Marine City, Michigan (click on name

submitted by Don & Cathy Zalek
Donald and I like to go to Algonac State Park. It is quiet and we enjoy watching
the big freighters go by. It is a nice park to walk through and they have things
to do like a rifle range, bow and arrow range, etc. We like it before May and
after Labor Day as it is not quite so busy. They do not have a pool if it is
hot but they may have a swimming hole on the St. Clair river! We never have
been there in the summer so we don't know for sure. You can stay at the campground
and go fishing on the St. Clair river too. It is only an hour away so we can
leave on Friday and not be on the road for too long.
Indian River
RV Resort & Campground - Indian River, Michigan (click

submitted by Ed & Annette Ryan
Nice campground with nice inground pool.
Newberry KOA
- Newberry, Michigan (click on name to go to web site)
submitted by Ed & Annette Ryan
This campground in the U.P. is nice. The campground is very woodsy and they
have an indoor pool. It is centrally located for various U.P. attractions. The
only negative is that due to poor drainage the roads can get pretty muddy when
it rains.
Hoffmaster
State Park - Muskegon, Michigan (click on name

Nice park with public beach access.
Tee Pee Campground
- Mackinaw City, Michigan (click on name to go to
web site)
submitted by Ed & Annette Ryan
Nice but small campground. It is located right where Lake Huron and Lake Michigan
meet. The proprietor used to be Tecumseh Public Schools superintendent! Very
close to downtown Mackinaw City and Mackinaw Island.
Twin
Mills RV Resort and Campground - Howe, Indiana (click

submitted by Ed & Annette Ryan
Nice campground but a little expensive. Lake and inground pool. Planned activities
for adults and children on the weekends. Huge campground with log cabins that
can be rented. We would give it a four star rating!
