Day 7 - Button Up and Shakedown
A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

I did a short drive last night and got it good and warm. It seemed to run a little hot but I figured it still had some air pockets in the cooling system. The engine sucked close to a half a gallon of coolant from the overflow bottle as it cooled down last night. I checked the header bolts and all were still tight. I re-installed the strut tower brace and front shield.
The engine runs very strong. Took a little work to get the idle to smooth out. Reading the instructions for the throttle body again helped...LOL. I've put about 60 miles on the engine so far and it just gets better. The car still looks the same on the outside but has just a little more exhaust presence. I'll put a few more miles on it and give it one more torque check. I'll have to wait for the Roush Racing Open House nights and see about putting on the chassis dyno.

I entered the engine combinations into the Mustang 5.0 Engine Builder program. If the program is as accurate as it claims to be, the power should be right where I want it.
