The right side get taken apart. Things came apart better than expected. The biggest items of concern were the nuts holding the H-pipe to the headers and the EGR feed tube. With generous use of penetrating oil and gentle persuasion both items came apart. It was a little tricky getting the header out the top with the EGR tube and valve still attached.
The end of day one. Right side parts removed along with the distributor cap and wires. I thought the right side was going to be the worst side. It went better that expected. Now on to the left side. I'm hoping it goes just as well. I did find out that the two end bolts from the upper plenum I had planned on reusing are too short for the new intake. Minor problem, I'll just have to order the right ones from Ford.
