In spring after ice-out, walleyes move into the Detroit river and into the lower part of Lake St Clair. Jigging and trolling crawler harnesses in the shipping channel work very well.
In early June walleyes will disperse into the lake. Trolling or drifting crawler harnesses just above the weed beds is your best bet. Some good spots are around Anchor Bay and the dumping grounds.
In late summer through the fall, drifting or trolling crawler harnesses in the channels will put a lot of fish in the livewell.
