PATENT PENDING
(From a letter to the British Patent Office, 1851; Adapted by E. Ridenour)
Gentlemen, I pray you take the steps to make it known
That yesterday I have completed in my modest country home
An invention to bring power to the earth and every nation
An engine turned by nothing less than the ever sought in vain
Perpetual motion
Gentlemen, for this endeavor I was supported by the queen
And now I ask that you would lend advice on how I might proceed
In claiming any government reward, if such is deemed
Or counsel on securing now the patent for this
singular machine
Free Ride
Tapping inexhaustible forces
Saddle up the perpetual horses & ride
Gentlemen, these assertions will be borne out, every one
My discoveries fully realized and the bonds of toil undone
This greatest can be acted on at once, and in short time
And manifested here, though at this moment it
Exists but in my mind
Free Ride
Tapping inexhaustible forces
Saddle up the perpetual horses & ride
