The 24-Hour Poetry Feature
1 poet.
24 hours.
Hundreds of poems.
. . .WHO'S NEXT?
In 2006 poet Scott Woods ushered in that year's National Poetry Month by performing the first-ever 24-hour solo poetry reading. In 2007 he bested that feat by performing for another 24 hours without repeating a single poem from the previous year.*
In 2008 Woods spearheads a national movement to have 24-hour readings across the country happening at the same time. The goal is to have at least one reading in each state.
Date: Saturday, April 5 - Sunday, April 6, 2008
Time: Readings begin at 8:00 pm EST and end 24 hours later
Locations: See the 24HPF Readings List for locations!
* (Oh yeah: He won't repeat a poem in 2008 either.)
