Thomas was a twin of John Mogg. Thomas and Adeline were married in Lapeer County. They later moved to Denver Township, Isabella County, where they settled land on the road between Rosebush and Dalwin. In later years, they retired first to Mt Pleasant, Michigan, and then later to the L G Mott farm in Burnside Township, Lapeer County, where Tom died. They were members of St Mary's Catholic church there.

Adeline married Joseph Martus of Rockville, Illinois, and they lived in Pontiac until his death.
