These are some pics of the beast in early destruction before reconstruction
The left pic is the cabin forward, showing the totally rotted out stringers and soaked foam after the floor was removed. This was mostly caused by rainwater sitting in the boat for about two years.

This pic is the aft section of the floor with the rotted stringers and waterlogged foam removed, and the remains of the fiberglass cut down to about an inch. This allowed me a slot to get the wire wheel edge into the grove to clean out the slots. After this the slots were thoroughly vacuumed and cleaned with acetone.
The next pic shows the new stringers bedded into the old stringer slots with 3M 5200 adhesive.
The next step was to coat everything thoroughly with Gluvit epoxy. Gluvit is a two part epoxy sealer that will soak in and harden to a waterproof
barrier that will still be flexible.
A great deal of work was done to completely rewire the boat, carpeting, etc... I have also started to repaint it. The trailer had extensive work including rewiring and replacing parts such as the winch cable. I have added a compass and marine VHF radio and antenna as well.
A special thanks to Walt Grever at Grever Mower and Marine for a fantastic job on getting the Merc running!
