Sparkle is one of my favorite dolls. She's simple, but so delightful to look at. She started out as a piece for Cyndy Sieving's 4 All Season's challenge in Doll Crafter and Costuming. I decided to make an Autumn Fairy and Sparkle became the fairy that paints all the leaves orange in the Fall. I was excited when Cyndy called and told me that Sparkle won the Fall category. When Lark Books had a call for entry for their book: 500 Handmade Dolls, I entered Sparkle. I was beyond myself when I got an acceptance letter, but when I got an e-mail from a fellow beader who got an early copy that Sparkle was on the back cover, well that just floored me.
