The
computer mouse was invented thirty years ago as an xy-position indicator.
Since
then it has also become a digital paintbrush -- a device for capturing
a trace of the highly restricted movements and gestures of the hand
swiveling at the wrist and sweeping across
a flat surface.
I
call these traces mousegrams. The ones below were constructed according
to the formula
