Pasty Recipes

Who are the Contributors of the Pasty Recipes?
Is it spelled Pasty or Pastie?

Contributors: The above pasty recipes were initially collected from alt.great-lakes as a potential FAQ by Mike Haight and put on the Web by Tony Wesley. I add to it as I see something of interest. Mike and I don't get credit for the recipes.

Spelling

According to Barry P. Andrew, andrewb@pbs2.milton.port.ac.uk:

"It must be true that the Americans and the British are two nations separated by a common language. A "pastie" (in the singular is a pasty) but in the plural it emerges as pasties. The word "pastie' is therefore a contradiction in terms."

And I have to agree with him. Some of the recipes had pasty, others had pastie. I settled on his standard in the recipes but didn't change the URL for these pages.
